Dr. Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal Joins BASIC Bank as Director

Dr. Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, former Director General (Grade-1) of the Department of Social Services has officially joined the Board of Directors of hundred percent state-owned BASIC Bank Limited. He participated in the 685th meeting of the Board, held on July 30, 2025.

On behalf of the Board, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board of Directors, welcomed the newly appointed Director with floral greetings. Among others, Sheikh Farid, Md. Matiur Rahman, FCA, FCMA, and Md. Abdul Ahad, Directors of the Board; Md. Quamruzzaman, Managing Director & CEO of BASIC Bank; Abu Md. Mofazzal and Subhash Chandra Das, Deputy Managing Directors; and Mr. Md. Hasan Imam, General Manager and Company Secretary of BASIC Bank were also present on the occasion.

Recently, a gazette notification was issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance regarding his appointment as the Director of BASIC Bank Limited for a term of three (03) years, which is also approved by Bangladesh Bank.
