BASIC Bank PLC., 100% State-owned commercial bank, organized a workshop on “Innovation in Banking Services” with the aim of improving customer experience by making banking services easier, faster and more secure through digital transformation. Md. Quamruzzaman Khan, Managaing Director & CEO of BASIC Bank, inaugurated the workshop on June 16, 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Bank’s Head Office. Farida Yasmin, Joint Secretary and Chief Innovation Officer of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, attended the workshop as the resource person.
Among others, Abu Md. Mofazzal, Deputy Managing Director and Subhash Chandra Das, FCA, FCMA, Deputy Managing Director and Innovation Officer of BASIC Bank, along with Md. Ismail, Md. Momenul Hoque, Md. Nashir Uddin, Sumit Ranjan Nath, Md. Hasan Imam, Md. Ghulam Sayeed Khan, and Saidur Rahman Sohel, General Managers, along with heads of different departments and other senior executives, were present at the event. Heads of branches and sub-branches from across the country joined the workshop virtually.
Speakers highlighted the importance of innovation and technology in transforming traditional banking services. They emphasized that digital initiatives can help provide customers with more convenient, secure and efficient banking solutions within a shorter time.
The speakers also called upon all officials to work together towards ensuring the highest level of customer service and supporting the continued growth and development of BASIC Bank.
The workshop is expected to play an important role in strengthening the Bank’s digital banking initiatives and creating a more customer-focused banking atmosphere.
